Eight or ten around the table, dessert long gone, and nobody in a hurry to leave. Emmanuel Gallina designed Amphora for Porada with solid Canaletto walnut legs and a top in wood, extendable if you like, or in veined marble. The walnut is warm under your hand, the marble stays cool. Already holding a quote? Forward it to us and we'll match it or go lower.
The Porada Amphora table is the work of Emmanuel Gallina and made its debut at Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2024. Gallina trained in France, at E.N.A.D. in Limoges and I.A.V. in Orléans, then earned a master's in design and management at Politecnico di Milano. He works between Italy and France and likes to quote Brancusi: “Simplicity is complexity resolved.” Amphora adds a dining table family to the Porada range. The formula is short: solid Canaletto walnut legs and a fixed or extendable top in wood or marble.
The legs are solid Canaletto walnut. Choose them natural, wengé-stained or moka-stained, or in a matte closed-pore lacquer in eight colors, from white and ivory to black and Bronzoro. A wood top takes the same finishes. If you'd rather have stone, Porada offers ten marbles, among them Grey Carnico, Red Levanto, Patagonia and White Calacatta Gold. In Milan the table was shown with a gray and white marble top, walnut legs and a walnut rim. That's the pairing we like best.
Amphora M measures 260 x 100 cm (102.4 x 39.4 in) and stands 75 cm (29.5 in) high. It seats eight to ten. With a wood top you can go extendable: the side leaf folds under the top and pulls out in a few moves when more people show up. The marble version is fixed. For chairs, look at the Porada Ella chair. Its solid Canaletto walnut frame comes in the same three stains as the table legs: natural, moka or wengé.
Settle wood versus marble before you think about finishes. Extendable wood grows with your guest list. Marble stays fixed and looks its best in a room that can carry a 102-inch top. At our showroom in Messina, Italy, you can see Canaletto walnut, Porada's lacquer chips and marble samples side by side. Your tailored quote comes back quickly. We ship worldwide, so it doesn't matter where you live. If you already have an offer for the same Amphora, in the same size and finishes, from another authorized Porada dealer, we will match it or beat it.
