Draga & Aurel come from textiles, and Plissé starts from a very specific picture: a pleated skirt, snipped with scissors, swinging as you walk. They turned that into furniture.
The curved door is folded into triangular pleats. Each pleat has two faces, one in matt black-stained oak, the other in leather. So the piece changes as you walk past it. Head-on you see wood, from the side you see leather, and in between a play of shades that is never quite the same twice.
The leather comes from the Baxter collection, and this is the place to be bold. Plissé can be made with two different leathers to sharpen the contrast between the pleats, a warm tan next to a dark nubuck for example. Metal legs and handles in a burnished brass finish tie it all together.
The sideboard comes in 225 or 280 cm. The low TV unit, 47 cm high, is 232 or 323 cm long with smoked glass shelves. The 167 cm bar cabinet has LED lighting that switches on when the door opens, an extra-clear glass shelf with a burnished brass finish ring and a pull-out smoked glass shelf.
