Oasis was born in 2024 as part of Flexform's outdoor collection, designed by Antonio Citterio. The idea is simple and deeply Mediterranean: a generously proportioned basket filled with soft cushions, like the woven seats that have always furnished porches and gardens in southern Europe. Citterio calls it an invitation to relax in harmony with nature, and the name says the rest: an oasis, a place to slow down.
Cord, steel and lightness
The frame is tubular stainless steel with sinuous, enveloping lines, epoxy powder-coated in glossy or textured finishes, from white and sage green to terracotta and burnished gray. Back and arms are wrapped in hand-woven polypropylene cord that forms an open, net-like weave: it keeps the sofa visually light and lets light and air flow through. The cord comes in several colors, including a matte version in natural tones.
Made to live outdoors
The seat deck is a compact laminate panel on adjustable thermoplastic feet. The seat cushion combines polyurethane foam and polyester fiber under a water-repellent laminated fabric, while the back cushions are polyester fiber. Outdoor fabric covers are removable and finished with grosgrain piping, and a waterproof cover is available on request for the off-season. Oasis comes as a two- or three-seater, in a round-seat version and as a sectional system, with a matching lounge chair and tables. Whether you have a rooftop in Manhattan, a London garden or a deck by the water, it scales to the space.
