Piaf carries no outside designer's name. It was created in-house by Baxter P., the company's design studio (the P stands for Project), and Baxter sees it as the natural centre of a living room.
The key word is conviviality. The modules are large, round and free of corners, and they join into curves you can stretch out on or sit around in a circle. With chaise longues, corner and end units, every project gets its own shape: a C wrapped around a coffee table, a deep corner for two people to lie down.
Even the base is covered in leather, right underneath. You notice it when the sofa stands in the middle of the room and is seen from every side. Seat and back cushions are differentiated-density foam with acrylic fibre on woven rubber straps; the scatter cushions and bolster are goose down.
