Casablanca is a family designed by Paola Navone for Baxter, with the sofa and the bed sharing the same idea: simple forms, soft lines and leather that lets itself go. The name evokes a city of light and white houses, and the bed has that spirit: elegant without stiffness, informal and relaxed.
The headboard that becomes a pillow
What makes the Casablanca bed unique is the headboard. Tall and generous, it folds down on itself to form two large padded pillows to lean on while reading, watching a film or having breakfast in bed. There is no rigid frame, only soft leather that follows the body and changes shape slightly every time, like a bed that is truly lived in.
Baxter leather
The upholstery is Baxter leather, worked to be soft to the touch and to age well. Over time it takes on folds and nuances that make it personal. You choose from the collection's leathers and colours, from natural tones to bolder ones.
Sizes
The Casablanca bed is made for 160, 180 and 200 cm mattresses, and in Queen, California King and King sizes for homes in the United States and elsewhere. In every version the footprint allows for the folded headboard that gives the bed its presence.
Our advice
People who choose the bed often fall for the Baxter Casablanca sofa too, with the same generous cushions to arrange as you like. In our showroom you can lie down, touch the leather and feel how the headboard supports your back.
