The Living Divani Haven armchair marks the start of a partnership. It's the first design by Yabu Pushelberg, the studio of George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg, for the Italian brand, and Living Divani launched it at Salone del Mobile 2026. The Toronto and New York studio, known for luxury hotels and interiors worldwide, started from the idea of measured elegance. As Glenn Pushelberg put it: "There is a lot of noise in contemporary design. We chose to be quiet." The name does the rest. Haven is a refuge.
The design rests on two side panels that form the arms and open slightly outward. Between them, the seat and back float clear of the floor and the sides, as if the chair holds them in midair. George Yabu talks about something rational with a subtle, discreet irregularity. That's the outward splay of the sides, and you notice it more in person than in photos.
There are two versions. On the padded armchair the sides are upholstered too, in fabric or leather, and the whole piece reads compact and soft. On the wood-arm version the sides are 45 mm (about 1¾ in) veneered MDF panels in charcoal-stained oak, Stone Oak, tobacco-stained oak or Striped Grey plywood, and the padded seat stands out against the grain. Underneath, the seat frame is lacquered steel and the back is poplar plywood, with interwoven elastic belts and differentiated-density polyurethane. Covers come off completely with zippers and Velcro.
Haven works best in pairs, on either side of a side table or facing a straight sofa. The charcoal oak version is more graphic; the padded one is warmer, and blends with the sofa if you pick the same fabric. Living Divani's 2026 collection also includes the Ponte table by Piero Lissoni, a natural partner for Haven in a study or reading corner. We'll send the official spec sheet with dimensions for both versions on request. We send a tailored quote fast, and if another authorized Living Divani dealer has quoted you for the same Haven, same version and upholstery, we'll match it or beat it.
