Gregory Bed Flexform

Antonio Citterio has been working with Flexform for more than forty years, and in 2020 he introduced Gregory, a sofa with a bold personality whose leather-wrapped elastic webbing is left in plain sight, like a structure with nothing to hide. The bed arrived the same year. It shares the sofa's well-balanced proportions and careful construction details, and brings the same contrast into the bedroom: the austerity of metal softened by the warmth of leather.

Metal and leather

The base is a metal frame on cast aluminium feet, offered in six finishes: satin, chrome, black chrome, burnished, glossy anthracite and matt titanium. Set against it are the cowhide straps, in seven colours from black and tobacco to grey, linen, chestnut and mole. Picking the right pairing is half the design: burnished with tobacco for a warm, lived-in room, black chrome with black for a sharper, more graphic look.

A headboard made for leaning back

The headboard has a metal frame padded with polyurethane foam and Dacron, designed to give steady support when you read or watch a film in bed. Its cover is fully removable, in fabric or leather, with grosgrain piping either tone on tone for a classic feel or in a contrasting colour for a more contemporary one. The platform is padded plywood, and the bed comes in several sizes; there is also a Gregory XL version.

Our advice

Gregory looks its best in a bedroom with natural materials, wood floors or stone, where the leather straps can play off timber and textiles. In our showroom you can see the leathers and the feet finishes up close and sit against the headboard to feel how comfortable it is.
