Perry was one of the stars of the 60th Salone del Mobile in 2022. Antonio Citterio designed it for Flexform as a family of soft, combinable pieces, and it carries everything that makes his work recognisable: generous comfort, calm proportions and a tailor's eye for detail.
A sofa with a tailor's finish
Look closely at the edges: every cushion is finished with grosgrain piping, the ribbed ribbon used in fine tailoring. It can be in any colour from the Flexform sample board, even in a leather-look finish, so you can underline the outline of the sofa in a contrasting tone or let it disappear tone on tone. Under the fabric or leather, the solid wood frame is padded with polyurethane of different densities and an outer layer of goose down with the Assopiuma gold label.
The armrest that keeps things
Perry's surprise is its storage armrest. The upholstered arm can be replaced with a metal container clad in cowhide, in fourteen colours, where throws, magazines and books disappear. It is a direct descendant of the famous cowhide armrest of the Groundpiece sofa, Citterio's icon from 2001, reinterpreted for today's homes.
Shapes for every room
The family includes stand-alone and L-shaped sofas, asymmetric pieces, a large six-sided unit (253 × 156 cm) that can be enjoyed from several sides, a 107 × 107 cm ottoman, corners, a chaise longue and wooden coffee tables. The base in glossy anthracite metal keeps the whole composition light. A year later, in 2023, Citterio added Perry Up, raised on a tubular metal base, for lovers of a more minimalist style.
