The Porada Klem sofa was designed by Giuseppe Viganò and arrived with the Porada collection shown at Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2023. Porada has worked solid wood for decades, and for Klem it chose Canaletto walnut for the frame. The shapes are curved and soft, the cushions deep. It's a sofa for a living room that gets used, more for long conversations than for show.
Walnut and padding: how the Porada Klem sofa is built
The frame is solid Canaletto walnut. Underneath, the inner structure is plywood with solid fir or poplar and elastic webbing. Padding is polyurethane foam in different densities, wrapped in polyester fiber. Back cushions are sterilized down around a polyurethane core and are chosen separately, as many as you need. The feet are nylon.
Straight or modular, fabric or leather
Klem comes as a straight sofa and as a modular system for corner layouts and large living room seating. Fabric covers from the Porada range are removable; leather is fixed. A light, textured fabric keeps the room airy; dark leather gives it a warmer evening feel. If you want the same design in the bedroom, look at the Porada Klem bed from the same design family.
